Walleyes on the Mind!

The itch to get out fishing has finally taken over and I'll be getting the boat out on Thursday. Its time to go through all the tackle, rods and equipment to make sure its in tip top shape. Limited access to boat launches do to ice has and floating ice chunks has fishing limited pretty much to the Fox River in Depere. Reports out there are people are catching a lot of smaller males with a few larger females. I believe with the warmer weather the pre spawned female with start making their appearance in the near future. I'm hoping to get the boat wet next week and check out the Fox River. I am also impatiently waiting for the Oconto River to open up to cast for some large females as they show up to the spawning grounds. I'm really excited for this upcoming year and meeting new people guiding!
